    THIS IS THE HOUR Radio Ministries is an evangelistic work of Rev. Guinn E. Green, Pastor of the Townsend Church of God located in Townsend, Tennessee. Currently there are 17 broadcast a week reaching into portions of 5 states.
    The Pastor's wife, Anita serves as secretary and handles all mailings as well as publishing a newsletter.
     Promoting Books, Tapes and Bibles during the broadcast is done by Sis. Loretta Elrod.
    Our format consist of prayer, gospel singing, a sermon, and book offers. All offers are free.
    This IS a faith ministry, we ask for no monies, we have faith that God will provide the finances as HE always has in the past. Praise God!!!

History
    THIS IS THE HOUR Ministries was originally started by Mrs. Birdie Green (1922-1982) and first aired in 1966 on WLSB in Copperhill TN. on Sunday afternoons and continued until 1968.  The program was stopped due to Mrs. Green relocating to Cleveland.
    Little did anyone know it was only temporary, her son Guinn, after being called into the ministry, would pickup and continue. In 1985 Guinn was asked to do a broadcast for WBIN in Benton TN, and after accepting the opportunity, chose to use the name his mother had given to her program. Once again THIS IS THE HOUR Ministries was on the air and promoting the gospel.   PRAISE the LORD!!!
